Vancouver-based pre-seed fund focused on Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan), open opportunistically Canada-wide. Weave closed its inaugural $6M Fund I in October 2024 and finished deploying it in June 2025. The thesis is sector-agnostic across B2B software and deep tech, spanning climate, AI, fintech, health and frontier tech. Tech-active approach with a strong regional anchor and a focus on first institutional cheques of $150K to $300K for 3 to 6% ownership. The team backed early Western Canadian founders who needed a local lead with conviction, fast decisions and meaningful operational support before scaling into national or US capital. Fund I's investment period is now closed and Weave no longer makes new investments.

Follow-on

Fund I deployed its final capital in June 2025 and its investment period is closed, so Weave no longer writes new or follow-on cheques from the fund. Reserves were used during the period to double down on winners such as Levr in 2024 and Innova Cleantech in 2025. For later rounds, founders rely on Weave introductions and on its usual syndicate partners: Valhalla Private Capital, Red Thread Ventures, Sprout, Inverted Ventures and LOI Ventures.
