Capital Angel Network (CAN) is the angel investor network of the Ottawa-Gatineau region, active since 2010 as a membership organization of qualified investors. Members include individual angels, VCs, family offices and accelerators, and CAN leads the country with 37% women investors. Since 2010, CAN members have invested $77M in early-stage companies, with an average $200K investment in new and follow-on deals. 180 companies backed across software, hardware, cleantech, agtech, biotech, SaaS, AI and deep tech. Notable investments: Planetary Technologies, BluWave-ai, Plum. In 2025, CAN invested approximately $8M and ranked as the number one angel group in Canada by number of deals.
