Vancouver-based climate VC investing in hard tech solutions for heavy industry, launched in 2016 through a partnership between Suncor, Cenovus and the BC Cleantech CEO Alliance around a first fund of $100M CAD. Evok backs exceptional founders in energy, mining and minerals, industrial optimization, and adaptation and resilience across Canada and the US, investing at Series A and Series B. Fund II was announced in 2022 with a first close covering half of its $300M USD size, adding EDC, RBC and TD alongside returning investors Suncor and Cenovus. The team is composed of operators with deep hard tech experience who guide founders through industrial scaling and complex commercial deployments.
